Research station of flood spread in Miankoh aquifer

Miankoh watershed is one of the sub-basins of Yazd-Ardakan plain. This field is located in the geographical coordinates of 03°54° to 25°54° east longitude and 26°31° to 31° north latitude in the southwest of Yazd province and northwest of Mehriz city. This domain has an area of ​​63,300 hectares, which is about 5% of the large Yazd Ardakan plain. The minimum height of this area is 1530 meters and the maximum is 4044 meters above sea level. Its average annual rainfall is 205 mm. In general, there is no permanent river in the area, and the canals flood several times a year due to heavy rains. Flood spreading is implemented at the outlet of Miankoh basin and has an area of ​​270 hectares with 3 implementation sites
